Well, I am sorry I have been neglecting our blog as of late. We have been so busy I haven't had time to blink!
But we are so blessed with what the Lord has provided, though it may be a little stressful here and there, what isn't in life? We have had a couple of opportunities that we are perusing. One opportunity being the relationship we have with our baby's Birthmom Alicia, and the other a move to Zealand.
We have had a wonderful time getting to know Alicia. She is so sweet and just loves to have fun, she jokes all the time so there is never a dull moment with her. Alicia and I have had several of opportunities to meet up with one another. So, a few days ago she was excited to meet Landyn for the first time. After introducing them Landyn got kind of shy and came up to me and asked: "Mommy, does she have my brother in her tummy?"
To witch I replied "yes she does, you should go say hi to him". So he stood by Alicia and waved to her tummy and said hello. I also had to wonderful experience of accompanying Alicia to one of her doctors appointments to hear our little baby's heart beat. Right before we were about to leave, she told me to touch her belly because he was moving and I got feel our baby for the first time!!! He was rolling and bumping all around really fast! Alicia is such a trooper, I am so excited that this little man will grow up knowing that this beautiful woman loved him so much. Andy and I are in the process of scheduling another get together so we can see her again soon!
Onto more news!
Upon getting accepted as adoptive parents Andy and I were also presented an opportunity to move closer to Andy's works in Zealand. After talking about it we both decided that it was a wonderful opportunity. Unfortunately the baby is due in July so we had to make a decision: before baby or after baby. We decided it should depend on what would be more convenient for Alicia, especially for visiting the baby after his birth. Well, turns out the quicker we move to Zealand the easier it is for her to meet up with us. We will be closer to her and her family. So, that was our decision. We are actually moving today! We should be settled in the new house we are renting by early next week, and have this house up on the market within three week.
Boom! Baby and moving at the same time!
So, we would love to ask for a few prayers that everything goes smoothly with Alicia's pregnancy and the house. Andy and I are doing great, we feel very humbled and extremely grateful for what is happening in our lives right now. We recognize that this is all new, sometimes uncomfortable and maybe even stressful sometimes but we are at peace with it. We have a beautiful peace in our hearts that we know only God can give, especially knowing we could chose to worry about anything and everything if we wanted to. Andy and I are continuing to be very hopeful and positive through this journey through God's truth, support from family and friends.
"Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?" (Matthew 6:27)
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about it's own things. Sufficient for the day is it's own trouble." (Matthew 6:34)
We would like to say thank you, for all of your support, prayers and love.
